About
My name is Heather Johnson. I’ve been a freelance copy writer and editor for more than a decade and I’ve been a bona fide weed puller since I had enough motor function to grasp a dandelion. A gardener knows which bugs and plants are beneficial and which need to go. Similarly, an editor knows which words to delete, replace, or leave alone. My ability to identify what is good, make it flourish, and toss aside the weeds allows me to transform any text. I love to create and collaborate. Whether I'm working on a professional project or a personal undertaking, I delight in the creative process, learning new things, and putting my skills to work on all types of writing and editing. I blend professionalism, creativity, fun, common sense, and appropriate grammar and usage into every project.
I have many personal interests, but I particularly enjoy reading and writing, hiking, camping, riding my bicycle, nurturing my garden, and geocaching. I do not—at all—enjoy jogging, but I’ve taken it up as a hobby and I keep lacing up my running shoes. Check out my blog to learn more about me and my projects, opinions, ideas, writing, and adventures. Why hire me?
